Cheyanne Lumpkin is the founder of Bev Athletics, a company that combines her love for all-star cheerleading and graphic design. With 16 years of experience as an all-star cheerleader, Cheyanne was shaped by her coach and mentor, Beverly Kauffman. After Beverly's passing in early 2025 from colon cancer, Cheyanne took over ownership of Beverly's gym, The Cheer Barn in Houston, Ohio. A graphic designer with a bachelor's degree from the Academy of Art University, Cheyanne created Bev Athletics to honor her late coach and use her design skills to create high-appeal, affordable uniforms and apparel for teams.
Bev's Story
The Cheer Barn in Houston, Ohio, has been igniting the passion for cheer since 1991. Founded by Beverly Kauffman, Bev Started the gym in a small garage with only a few panel mats. After the first year she immediately outgrew the garage and the Cheer Barn was built. Over 27 Years hundreds of cheerleaders have entered our doors, including local schools and athletes looking for our training for higher skills.
The Cheer Barn is now a state of the art Cheerleading facility, including a full 9 panel spring floor, dead mat for school cheerleaders, and various equipment to better improve your athletes abilities.
Bev was a dedicated Cheer Coach, she loved the sport, gym, and all the athletes that have came through our doors. Bev passed away May 12, 2025 to Colon Cancer.
Cheyanne's Goal as The Cheer Barn's new owner is to continue Bev's Legacy, keeping her spirit and love for cheerleading alive through a successful all-star program inspiring the next generations of cheerleaders.
